The incumbent of this position will report to the Data Analysis Unit within the Office of Emergency Management.

Minimum Qualifications
NON-COMPETITIVE
six years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
NOTE: Support of operations during times of emergency and disaster from State Emergency Operations Center (EOC), state field offices and/or local deployments may be required, which would result in a change and/or increase in working hours, locations and/or duties.

Duties Description
The incumbent of this position will report to the Data Analysis Unit within the Office of Emergency Management.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To The Following
- Design and maintain data pipelines and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes to support analytical workflows.
- Translate complex datasets, including spatial data, into structured, analysis-ready formats. This includes cleaning and pre-processing data to remove inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and duplication.
- Write and execute code in R, Python, or a similar programming language to automate data processing and analysis tasks
- Analyze data using appropriate statistical techniques to test hypotheses and solve complex problems related to Emergency Management.
- Use visualization software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) to share analytic findings.
- Summarize results, creates static and interactive products, and collaborate with program areas to develop solutions to identified needs.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences in products and presentations.
- Develop project documentation and contribute to maintenance of existing products.
- Review and suggest improvements to current or planned systems and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the agency’s mission or other program areas.
- Support emergency operations during times of emergency and disaster from the SEOC, state field offices, and/or local deployments.
- Travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
NON-COMPETITIVE
six years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
- Substitution: An associate’s degree may substitute for two years of general experience; or a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of general experience. A master’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of general experience; or a Ph.D. in these fields may substitute for two years of general experience.
