AIRCRAFT WIRE INSTALLATION INSPECTOR
Job Summary
Responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of aircraft wire installations, harness assemblies, connectors, routing, terminations, and related electrical systems to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, quality requirements, and applicable safety regulations. This position ensures installation accuracy, identifies and documents nonconformances, supports corrective actions, and helps maintain the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft electrical systems.

The compensation for this position typically falls between $22.00 and $29.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.

Responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of aircraft wire installations, harness assemblies, connectors, routing, terminations, and related electrical systems to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, quality requirements, and applicable safety regulations. This position ensures installation accuracy, identifies and documents nonconformances, supports corrective actions, and helps maintain the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft electrical systems.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the avionics field of wire harness installation/routing, wire audit familiarization, termination, crimping, soldering, grounding, repairing and troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems and component installation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong understanding of electrical workmanship and aerospace inspection practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) processes.
- Computer literacy
- Pass vision testing, minimum 20/20 corrected, and with no limitations in color perception.
- Must demonstrate competency in English (read, write, speak and understand the English language).
- Associate degree in aerospace field
- Airframe License
- Must be able to work in a high-noise environment (jet engines, air tools, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be physically able to walk up and down steps, able to walk long distances, climb, stand, kneel and work in confined areas all with or without reasonable accommodation
- Work various shifts.
- Outside work and work in non-climate-controlled areas are required.
- Involves exposure to chemicals and dust levels set by OSHA standards.
- Inspect wiring, connectors, routing, terminations, and electrical installations for defects, damage, or noncompliance.
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of aircraft electrical systems, including “Power On” tests.
- Perform inspections of harness assemblies for conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship requirements.
- Verify inspection equipment and tooling is calibrated and maintained per company standards.
- Ensuring safety and airworthiness is not compromised or tolerated.
- Complete and maintain reports and records as required.
- Accurately enter electronic data related to aircraft production, completion and installation operations.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
- Assist in the development of procedures and written instructions related to quality issues.
