SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $95,000 IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE!

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will complete mechanical design work for mobile equipment that includes structural, fluid power, and powertrain systems, including performing component selection; CAD design work; analysis, including FEA; detailed bills of material (BOMs); and Operator and User Manuals. You will collaborate with other SpecSys engineering disciplines and manufacturing along with project managers to ensure the On Time - On Budget - Done Right - Done Safely aspects of the project assigned.

What does the Mechanical Engineer do for SpecSys? They:

• Overall project responsibility including:
• Verify the design meets performance and configuration specifications
• Contract management to verify the project is completed on time and on budget
• Customer management to understand expectations and standards
  
  

Providing work instructions for designers and draftersCoordinating resources of project teamsDeveloping and updating project timelinesDeveloping design concepts to perform project function and facilitate reviews.Developing scope of work projectionsPerforming engineering calculations to verify compliance with design requirementsProviding technical data to the client, designers, and draftersOverseeing and/or performing FEA analysis to verify structural integrityDirect preparation of FEA reports for the customerPreparing project review booklets and present to the customerSpecifying and sourcing purchase components to be usedSpecifying materials to be used in designWorking on multiple CAD packagesReviewing CAD models for completeness, interferences, and manufacturabilityReviewing detail drawings for completeness, accuracy, and client standardsReviewing and update model and drawing tolerancesGenerating and reviewingBill of Materials for completenessUpdating and tracking action / issue items

How would we define a good candidate? Someone who:

• Has Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Has the ability to interact at a management level with Mfg Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality
• Has a BS or MS Degree in agriculture, mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering disciplines
• Has 1+ years of proven project experience
• Or has any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
