Mechanical Technical Specialist

We're partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer to identify a Mechanical Technical Specialist to support maintenance and operations within a heavy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and restore production during breakdowns
• Support maintenance teams with technical guidance and problem-solving
• Lead root cause investigations and implement long-term corrective actions
• Assist with outage planning, equipment upgrades, major repairs, and small capital projects
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and performance

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience supporting mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience supporting equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, compressors, and other rotating machinery
• Background in heavy industry such as metals, automotive, aerospace, paper, chemical processing, or similar manufacturing environments
• Strong maintenance and root cause problem-solving experience

Preferred Experience:

• PLC troubleshooting
• Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma
• Gas-fired combustion systems, furnaces, kilns, or burners
• Union manufacturing environments
• Lead, trainer, or supervisory experience
• Metals manufacturing (aluminum, steel, tin, foundry, rolling, casting, etc.)
