Business Data Analyst

About The Role

The role owns the analytical foundation of the product and business operations, translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and core business metrics.

You will partner closely with product managers, data engineers, and executives to drive data-informed decision-making across growth, monetization, and user engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting suites using SQL, Looker, and dbt to track core business and product KPIs
• Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analyses to identify user behavior trends, growth bottlenecks, and revenue optimization opportunities
• Partner with data engineers to define data collection requirements, ensuring high data quality and pipeline reliability across tracking events
• Design, execute, and analyze rigorous A/B tests for product features, pricing models, and marketing campaigns
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks and deliver actionable recommendations to cross-functional leaders
• Write clean, version-controlled SQL and Python code, establishing robust analytics engineering best practices and documentation standards
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience in business data analytics, data science, or analytics engineering within a high-growth technology environment
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Amplitude
• Experience with modern data stack tooling including dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, hypothesis testing, and cohort analysis
• Bonus: Proficiency in Python for data manipulation (pandas, NumPy) and basic machine learning modeling experience
