Lead Network Engineer

Role Summary

This senior-level Network Engineer Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced network infrastructure utilizing Cisco Nexus platforms. The role involves leading network strategies, configuring complex LAN and WAN technologies, and ensuring optimal network performance. The individual will document network configurations comprehensively and maintain detailed network diagrams, supporting seamless connectivity and network reliability across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of network infrastructure utilizing Cisco Nexus solutions.
• Configure and administer complex LAN and WAN technologies to meet organizational requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and architecture.
• Create and update network diagrams and drawings using Lucid chart or similar tools.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues efficiently and effectively.
• Resolve daily connectivity issues reported within the service desk queue to minimize downtime.
• Provide immediate technical assistance to resolve urgent network problems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to develop and execute network strategies aligned with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards across all network configurations.
• Keep up to date with emerging network technologies and best practices to recommend improvements.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Strong knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience creating detailed network documentation and diagrams.
• Ability to resolve connectivity issues in a timely manner within a service desk environment.
• Knowledge of network security and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
• Availability to work during standard business hours; flexibility for on-call support if needed.

Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $50.00 Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
