Digital Media Buyer
About The Role
This role executes and manages digital media campaigns from pre-launch validation through post-campaign reconciliation, ensuring every placement is set up accurately, compliantly, and on schedule. The position coordinates campaign timelines, trafficking, quality assurance, optimization, reporting, and vendor collaboration while applying platform-specific buying tactics that align bidding strategies, audience targeting, inventory selection, and device settings to campaign goals. It closely monitors budget pacing, spend accuracy, and delivery performance, proactively identifying risks such as underdelivery, tracking issues, or billing discrepancies and driving timely corrective action. The job also maintains clear documentation of optimizations, campaign changes, and performance insights to support stakeholder visibility, reliable measurement, and stronger future media planning.
What You'll Do
Validate campaign readiness before launch Confirm that creative assets, audience targeting, inventory sources, tracking tags, naming conventions, billing details, and vendor requirements are complete and accurate prior to launch so campaigns enter market correctly and on time.
Manage campaign timelines and deliverables Coordinate day-to-day launch, trafficking, QA, optimization, reporting, and reconciliation milestones across internal teams and external partners to ensure assigned campaigns progress smoothly against deadlines and client expectations.
Apply platform-specific buying tactics Select and implement the appropriate bidding methods, deal types, frequency controls, device strategies, audience layering, and inventory settings within each platform based on channel nuances and campaign goals.
Monitor budget utilization and spend accuracy Track spend against planned budgets, flight dates, and allocation by tactic or vendor; identify underdelivery, overspend, or billing discrepancies early; and take corrective action to protect campaign efficiency and financial accuracy.
Document optimization rationale and campaign changes Maintain clear records of in-flight adjustments, performance observations, test results, and vendor recommendations so account teams and clients have visibility into campaign management decisions and outcomes.
Escalate risks and performance concerns proactively Identify issues such as tracking gaps, inventory constraints, weak-performing tactics, or launch delays early, communicate impacts and recommended next steps, and involve appropriate stakeholders before problems affect results materially.
Ensure compliance with media and measurement requirements Adhere to platform policies, brand safety standards, privacy requirements, campaign taxonomy, and measurement protocols to support compliant execution and reliable performance analysis across channels.
Support post-campaign reconciliation and wrap-up Assist with final delivery checks, vendor billing validation, discrepancy resolution, and campaign closeout documentation to ensure campaigns are accurately finalized and learnings are captured for future buys.
