Business Analytics/Data Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analytics/Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making for a leading organization in the drink and beverages industry in Rutherford, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position focuses on transforming complex data into meaningful business insights through reporting, analysis, and business intelligence solutions. The role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can work across datasets, identify trends, and help stakeholders make informed operational and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain analytical reports, dashboards, and recurring data outputs that support business planning and performance tracking.
• Examine large data sets to identify patterns, exceptions, and actionable findings that guide business decisions.
• Write and optimize Microsoft SQL queries to extract, validate, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Partner with business teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective business intelligence solutions.
• Use BusinessObjects tools to create and enhance reporting assets that improve visibility into key metrics.
• Support data modeling and documentation efforts using Erwin Data tools to strengthen data structure and governance.
• Perform data quality reviews to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and reliability across deliverables.
• Present analytical findings in a clear, business-focused manner to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL for data extraction, querying, and analysis.
• Working knowledge of BusinessObjects Technologies for reporting and business intelligence development.
• Strong background in data analysis with the ability to interpret trends and summarize insights clearly.
• Experience building or supporting business intelligence solutions that serve operational or strategic needs.
• Familiarity with Erwin Data tools or similar platforms used for data modeling and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a contract environment while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
