Job Description

Department Overview

The Data, Artificial Intelligence & Security (DAIS) Business Operations (BizOps) team is responsible for execution of Programs and Projects for all Security projects (Physical Security and Cybersecurity), governance, and financial management for all of DAIS and enables strategic alignment of financials and execution to True North Strategy. The team under the BizOps Director reports to the SVP of DAIS. The Cybersecurity Portfolio Management Office (PMO) under the DAIS team is responsible for Cybersecurity projects and programs and is led by the Senior Manager and Manager. Project/Program Managers lead specific programs within the portfolio with the assistance of additional project managers and a Project Analyst.

Position Summary

The Business Analyst for Project Management will assist with maintaining project records for all in scope projects and orders. The Business Analyst will monitor actuals, forecast, and allocated budget to stay within targets and will track and report variances as needed. The Business Analyst will organize, track, and monitor the project records in the approved project management system and in the project central file repository and to support SOX compliance.

The work location is flexible and must be located within the service territory. Training may occur in person periodically in the first few months of the position at a mutually agreeable location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work within the program/product team to ensure accurate forecasting against budget, tracking actuals to meet forecasting accuracy goals (?6.5% for a rolling 6-week lookahead)
  • Use financial and project management systems to track project records
  • Create requests for projects, contracts, actions as needed to support project activities, then submit and track to completion
  • Analyze existing data and investigate/resolve identified discrepancies
  • Perform standard analysis and works with existing data models
  • Pull data to populate standard reports or to respond to audit or leadership requests
  • Present data and findings to senior peers or internal clients
  • Track existing metrics
  • Communicate with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data
  • Participate in project teams

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Arts / Science in accounting, business, finance, engineering OR equivalent work experience
  • Financial management experience

Desired

  • Ability to learn business systems quickly
  • Ability to “juggle” multiple work items simultaneously
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel) or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of Power BI
  • Understanding of project management processes and delivery methods
