2 Hour Learning is establishing a nationwide network of schools that condense a complete day of instruction into two concentrated hours through artificial intelligence. For this model to scale, expansion must be as methodical and efficient as the educational product. This role is designed to ensure that outcome. You will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of new school sites—from identifying raw property to launching fully functional campuses—while simultaneously creating the systems that make every successive opening faster, more streamlined, and more reliable.

This is not a conventional facilities development position. Your responsibility extends beyond managing timelines. Your mandate is to remove obstacles from the expansion process. This requires decisive judgment on site feasibility, direct engagement with permitting and construction challenges, negotiation with contractors, and relentless execution on deadlines. In parallel, you will systematize every component of this work into structured, AI-enhanced processes that minimize manual intervention and sharpen forecasting precision across iterations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Execute critical site assessments by validating zoning requirements, permitting pathways, cost estimates, and timeline constraints through structured and AI-supported evaluation
• Oversee multiple concurrent school construction projects, directing construction managers, unblocking obstacles, and guaranteeing delivery on schedule and within budget
• Produce actionable capital project proposals that bring stakeholders into alignment on scope, budget, and implementation approach
• Drive vendor selection processes, RFP management, and contract negotiations with an emphasis on velocity, quality assurance, and cost discipline
• Break down expansion processes into modular work components and implement AI-powered systems that accelerate timelines and enhance reliability

VP Of Facilities Development Key Responsibilities

Take full accountability for the end-to-end expansion of new school sites by delivering operational campuses on consistent timelines while systematically decreasing duration, expense, and uncertainty through AI-enabled infrastructure.

Basic Requirements

• Verified experience managing at least one real estate development or construction initiative from site identification through launch with complete ownership
• Background overseeing multiple simultaneous builds or capital investments with direct accountability for scheduling, coordination, and resolution of obstacles
• Deep working knowledge of zoning regulations, permitting procedures, construction practices, and vendor management, with the capability to engage directly with general contractors, architects, and regulatory authorities
• Proven capacity to make informed tradeoff decisions balancing cost, schedule, and feasibility with quantifiable results
• Experience refining or establishing complex operational processes (such as permitting workflows, design coordination, or construction execution)
• Confirmed ability to decompose intricate workflows into structured, replicable systems and enhance them iteratively
• Demonstrable use of tools (including AI or automation) to minimize manual tasks, expedite decision cycles, or increase execution velocity
• Strong ownership orientation with the capacity to function effectively amid uncertainty and deliver tangible results
• Readiness and ability to travel up to 60% to active construction sites nationwide and maintain presence during pivotal development and opening phases
• Currently based in the United States and authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
