ESG Project Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct the end-to-end collection, review, and reporting of environmental and responsible business data, including emissions, energy, water, waste, utilities, and related performance measures.
• Build and maintain governance practices, validation methods, and quality controls that improve the consistency and completeness of sustainability data across multiple locations.
• Work closely with facility leaders, operations teams, and global partners to investigate discrepancies, close reporting gaps, and raise overall data reliability.
• Prepare organized, audit-ready datasets and supporting records for disclosures, assurance reviews, leadership reporting, and compliance-related needs.
• Manage environmental performance information for facilities to support trend analysis, performance tracking, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Act as the business owner and system administrator for sustainability reporting platforms, utility management tools, databases, and other related data solutions.
• Lead platform configuration, testing, enhancements, and ongoing process improvements to support efficient and scalable reporting operations.
• Establish user access protocols, system documentation, and support standards that promote secure administration and effective day-to-day use.
• Partner with IT teams, software vendors, and internal stakeholders to improve integrations, optimize reporting workflows, and encourage strong user adoption.
• Assess new reporting technologies and business intelligence tools that can strengthen analytics, dashboards, efficiency, and user experience.
• Proven experience managing ESG, sustainability, environmental, or enterprise reporting projects in a complex business environment.
• Strong background in data validation, reporting governance, documentation practices, and audit or assurance support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with databases, reporting platforms, or business intelligence technologies.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including operations, facilities, IT, and external solution providers.
• Knowledge of environmental performance metrics such as greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, waste, and utility consumption.
• Demonstrated project management skills with experience driving system configuration, process enhancement, and reporting optimization initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to present clear findings and support informed decision-making.
• Experience creating dashboards, monitoring tools, or structured reports that improve visibility into performance and data quality.
