This role is ideal for an analytical professional with experience developing Microsoft Power BI reports, gathering technical requirements from stakeholders, performing data modeling, and supporting Power BI administration. The Data Analyst will collaborate across teams to ensure data quality, improve reporting capabilities, and support data-driven decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Gather and analyze technical requirements from business analysts and stakeholders.
- Design and maintain data models that support reporting and business decision-making.
- Administer and support the Power BI environment, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
- Assist with the design and implementation of data strategies and supporting solutions.
- Participate in data governance initiatives and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics, modeling, and business intelligence.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI or a comparable data visualization platform.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to gather and translate technical requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages.
- Experience administering and supporting Power BI or a similar business intelligence platform.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience within the property and casualty insurance industry is preferred.
