Job Description

Dave & Buster's and Main Event are two of the most recognized entertainment brands in the country. Nearly everyone already knows who we are. The opportunity in front of us is not awareness. It is consideration. When a guest is deciding where to spend a Friday night, a birthday, or a team celebration, we want to be the choice they land on, and we want to reach them in the moment they are actually looking.

That is the heart of this role. We are building a modern media function that turns investment into guests through the door and same-store sales growth we can see quarter after quarter. This is one of the most important leadership roles on our marketing team, and it sits right at the center of how we grow.


Media does its best work in partnership. You will work shoulder to shoulder with our brand and creative leaders, because reach without a great idea is wasted, and a great idea that no one sees never gets a chance. When those two come together well, that is how we create breakthrough moments and real business momentum.

You will also partner closely with our digital and CRM leader, who owns the website experience, email, SMS, and how we keep existing guests coming back. Both of you report to the CMO, and both of you are working toward the same goal, which is growth. Your focus is bringing new guests in and winning the consideration moment. Theirs is conversion and retention once a guest is in our world. A lot of the magic lives in the seam between the two, and you will help make that handoff feel seamless.


What You Will Lead

  • Search as a growth engine. This is central to the role. You will own paid search and organic search strategy, and you will make sure we show up when guests are actively searching and weighing their options. That includes how a brand like ours appears in Google, in AI-driven answer engines such as Gemini, and across a search landscape that is changing fast. Winning the consideration moment is the single biggest opportunity in front of us.
  • Paid media across the acquisition funnel. You will lead paid social on TikTok, Meta, and YouTube, along with the broader plan that builds reach and brings new guests to both brands.
  • Hyperlocal activation. National reach matters, and so does filling a specific store on a specific weekend. You will think about media at both altitudes and connect them.
  • The media mix model. You will put it to work against clear weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals, and refine it as the business teaches us more.
  • The agency partnership. You will guide the plans, own the budget, and hold our partners to real accountability and continuous optimization.
  • Measurement and AI. You will bring AI and advanced analytics into how we measure, optimize, and predict, so we learn faster and invest smarter every week. AI is a core part of how this function works, not a side project.

You are a media leader who is genuinely energized by growth. You have driven acquisition before, and you can point to the business results your work produced, not just the campaigns you delivered.


Search is in your DNA. You understand paid and organic search deeply, you have kept pace with how AI is reshaping the way people find and choose brands, and you know how to turn that into guests through the door.


You are a real collaborator. You bring a strong point of view and you hold it with humility, because the best ideas come from working closely with creative, with CRM, and with the operators who run our stores. You lift the people around you, and you develop the team you inherit rather than working around them.


You are curious about the guest. You understand the occasion, the play, and the reason someone chooses us over everything else competing for their time and money. That curiosity shows up in how you segment, target, and reach the right people with the right message, at both the national and local level.
