Project Executive
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead and expand our healthcare construction portfolio. The Project Executive will provide executive oversight for multiple large-scale projects, drive strategic client relationships, ensure program profitability and delivery excellence, and mentor senior project teams. This role combines senior project management expertise with business development and operational leadership to deliver high-quality healthcare facilities on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and oversight for a portfolio of healthcare construction projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Serve as primary client executive for strategic accounts; build and maintain strong relationships with hospital administrators, architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Senior Project Managers to set project strategy, approve major project milestones, change orders, and resource allocation decisions.
- Drive business development efforts including pursuit strategy, proposal development, and presenting solutions to prospective clients to secure new work.
- Oversee contract negotiations, risk management, and compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
- Monitor project financial performance; approve budgets, forecasts, and corrective actions to achieve margin and profitability targets.
- Champion safety, quality control, and LEED/sustainability objectives across the portfolio and ensure teams meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Mentor and develop senior project managers and project teams, promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 12+ years of progressive construction experience with at least 5 years in executive or senior project management roles, specifically in healthcare construction.
- Proven track record managing large, complex healthcare facility projects and multi-project portfolios, with demonstrated client-facing and business development success.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- LEED accreditation (AP or equivalent) strongly preferred and experience implementing sustainable design/construction practices.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and profit/loss responsibility.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as required.
