Data Analyst I

We are looking for a Data Analyst I to support operational reporting and continuous improvement efforts in Phoenix, AZ. This is a long-term contract position for someone who enjoys examining data, uncovering patterns, and turning findings into practical process enhancements. The role suits a proactive individual who investigates issues thoroughly, works well with cross-functional partners, and brings a thoughtful approach to solving business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Review reporting outputs and workflow activity to spot recurring issues, performance patterns, and opportunities to improve efficiency.

• Examine underlying causes of operational challenges and recommend practical changes that reduce repeat work and support lasting improvement.

• Analyze ticket and process data to identify bottlenecks, highlight trends, and inform better day-to-day business decisions.

• Research unfamiliar or complex issues independently and work toward timely, well-supported resolution.

• Create clear documentation for findings, recommendations, and updated procedures so improvements can be consistently applied.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to simplify workflows, remove unnecessary steps, and strengthen overall operational effectiveness.

• Support ongoing refinement of reporting and business processes through structured analysis and follow-through on identified actions.

• Demonstrated strength in data analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving.
• Experience supporting process improvement, operational analysis, or reporting-focused business functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document observations and recommendations clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and make sound decisions when facing unfamiliar issues.
• Comfortable identifying patterns, investigating root causes, and driving issues through resolution.
• Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools such as SQL, SharePoint workflows, or similar business systems is preferred.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with business partners across teams.
