Backend Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Build and maintain core backend services for a high-visibility, data-driven application
• Develop RESTful APIs and support data-driven functionality
• Contribute to ongoing system enhancements within a Linux-based environment
• Support system reliability, performance, and data accuracy for mission stakeholders
• Implement backend logic for data transformation, processing, and system workflows
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4-8 years experience, or Master’s with 2-6 years experience
• US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass a Polygraph
• Professional experience developing object-oriented applications in Java or Python
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Basic to moderate experience with SQL and relational databases
• Working knowledge of Linux-based environments
