Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC / Irving, TX (Las Colinas) – Hybrid

Contract Length: 18 months

Pay Rate: $53/hr - $57/hr

Role Overview

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives within Network Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to enterprise network infrastructure. You will design, implement, and support network solutions while analyzing technical challenges and ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and security standards. The role requires collaboration across teams to deliver scalable and secure networking solutions aligned with enterprise policies and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, and Data Center networking solutions.
  • Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static).
  • Implement DDoS mitigation strategies and ACL configurations.
  • Configure and support Cisco Nexus and/or Arista platforms.
  • Execute network changes using enterprise change control processes (ServiceNow).
  • Support network security configurations (ACLs, VRFs, segmentation).
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on enterprise initiatives and deployments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Data Center solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static) and DDoS mitigation / ACL configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and/or Arista switching platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (Data Center preferred).
  • Experience with automation/scripting (Python, YAML, Ansible, GitHub).
  • Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and change control processes.
