The Communications Contractor at Nike typically develops, curates and amplifies the company’s narrative across internal and external audiences, from global employee storytelling and editorial content through to sport moments, product innovation communications, media relations and executive-level writing.

What You Will Do

  • Write, edit and produce communications content for internal and external channels including newsletters, intranet, press releases, Slack, Workvivo, digital screens and executive presentations.
  • Develop and manage editorial calendars, curating stories and content that resonates across a globally distributed workforce including stores and distribution centers.
  • Translate complex, technical or innovation-driven work into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.
  • Build and maintain messaging frameworks, content plans and storytelling tools that support product launches, innovation milestones and sport moments.
  • Support media relations activity including press release writing, fact sheets, speaking points and on-site media management at events, photo shoots and press conferences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Executive Communications, Media Relations, Sport Marketing and Geo communications teams.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, project timelines and deliverables to ensure operational excellence across concurrent workstreams.
  • Build efficient processes, toolkits and best practices for communications teammates across geographies and functions.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years experience in communications, content, PR, editorial or a related role depending on level.
  • Strong writing skills across multiple formats; long-form editorial, executive presentations, press releases and digital content.
  • Proficiency in Keynote and PowerPoint
  • Genuine passion for and knowledge of sport
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organisation, partnering with technical experts, creatives and senior leaders.
  • Podcast production, video editing or multimedia content experience is a plus
  • Sports or product innovation communications experience is a plus
