Data Steward (US - Remote)

Highspring manages a dedicated team of 11 Data Stewards and Data Analysts, providing critical data maintenance and analysis support to a Fortune 100 tech company. Our work ensures the integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications within a large corporate organization's information systems, uncovering crucial business insights for our internal client stakeholders

The Role:
As a Data Steward at Highspring, you will be responsible for the meticulous administration, monitoring, and maintenance of internal data within our software infrastructures and applications. This role focuses on supporting internal teams and does not provide technical support to external users.

This is a vendor role with Highspring for a client's team, a Fortune 100 company. This position is currently remote in the US with the possibility for a hybrid work environment depending on your work location.

Responsibilities:
* Manually consolidate data from diverse sources into a centralized repository like Google Sheets.
* Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform business decisions.
* Monitor and evaluate data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
* Act as the owner for event attendee data, ensuring names and titles are clean for reporting.
* Manage and analyze historical event attendance data by comparing it against invitation lists.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide insights.
* Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide recommendations to support business objectives.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data analysis.
* Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
* Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using statistical software and data analysis tools.
* Meticulously identify and map complex parent-child relationships among partner entities.
* Provide analytical and technical support.
* Document issues, resolutions and programming steps pertaining to the implementation process and client data.
* Use generative AI and other automated tools for business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
* This role requires greater technical depth, the ability to handle more complex data, and the introduction of automation and documentation.
* Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.

Core Skills:
* Fluency in English
* Strong foundational analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency with core data analysis tools, especially Excel and/or Google Sheets.
* Familiarity with data visualization concepts and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets.
* Strong problem-solving and technical support capabilities.
* Proven ability to meticulously document technical processes, issues, and resolutions.

Technical Familiarity:
* Strong proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools, including SQL and a BI platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Proven experience working with SQL Server or similar transactional databases and writing complex queries.
* Proficiency in a programming language (Python or Google Apps Script/JavaScript) for automation and data processing.
* Experience using generative AI and other automation tools to support business needs.

Good to Have:
* Familiarity with API integration concepts.
* Basic understanding of application development tools and practices.
* UX Design/Testing experience, preferably Figma.

Schedule Requirements
* Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm PST with 30 min lunch break
* Minimal travel might be required
* Open to all US timezones

This Role Offers:
* Full Time (40 hrs/week), hourly
