Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer II to design, develop, and support complex enterprise applications. This role involves leading technical initiatives, troubleshooting critical issues, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in full software development, lifecycle management, enterprise systems, and production support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and enhancements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, project scope, and deliverables.
- Develop technical specifications, architecture designs, and detailed documentation.
- Review, analyze, and optimize existing software systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through root cause analysis.
- Ensure successful execution of testing strategies, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Guide to data architecture and integration strategies.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate new tools, technologies, and programming languages for business applicability.
- Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in software development and application support.
- Strong experience in designing and developing enterprise-level applications.
- Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP.
- Experience with Laserfiche document management system.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data architecture.
