For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $228,000 – $280,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Develop departmental priorities and strategies focused on liquidity initiatives
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to reduce ambiguity and risk
  • Communicate objectives clearly to align cross-functional teams
  • Inspire and mentor other Technical Program Managers
  • Create technical frameworks for engineering decision-making
  • Enhance efficiency in Operation Excellence processes
  • Align development priorities by collaborating with program and product managers
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to development
  • Drive testing dependencies across engineering teams
  • Build dashboards to monitor development progress and identify gaps

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in release/project management within complex tech environments
  • Strong data analysis skills for project health tracking
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, and modern project management practices
  • Ability to build consensus and influence across teams in a matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with project planning tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in system design, reliability, and scalability
  • Background in Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, or Blockchain ecosystems
