As a brand communications manager, you will…
- Develop and lead integrated external communications plans that elevate the Starbucks customer experience through compelling storytelling, media engagement, and proactive reputation management.
- Develop narratives, media materials, and proactive and reactive communications strategies that drive awareness and engagement.
- Partner across marketing, product, and internal communications teams to deliver coordinated, high-impact go-to-market communications plans
- Shape and land meaningful earned media stories in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a collaborative, the ability to proactively land and shape media stories as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles
- Demonstrated experience in consumer or brand external communications, preferably at a global consumer brand and/or at a PR agency (at least 7 years).
- A well-rounded background in external communications and public relations, equal parts storyteller, strategist, and media expert.
- Proven media relations experience and writing capabilities (at least 7 years).
- Experience building creative consumer brand campaigns through an earned media lens and earned influencers (at least 7 years).
- Thrive in highly collaborative environments where great ideas come to life across functions.
- Adaptable, curious, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused business.
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
