Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Own and champion the enterprise WAF, defining its strategy, patterns, and standards.
• Analyze and tune WAF rules to improve protection effectiveness.
• Collaborate on long-term WAF strategy, technology standards, and security roadmaps.
• Author and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and threat-specific WAF tuning strategies.
• Lead continuous improvement of automated detection and response capabilities.
• Participate in security events and incident response, proposing solutions to prevent recurring threats.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years managing enterprise WAF.
• Expert experience architecting, implementing, and operating enterprise WAF solutions.
• Deep knowledge of network traffic routing (DNS, HTTP/S, CDN/edge).
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform; experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
