Tech Consulting

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, authoritative Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive the technical readiness and ongoing success of our consulting workforce. This is a dual-focus internal role combining technical instruction and escalation support.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering intensive training programs that transform technical professionals into market-ready Cyber Security consultants. Beyond training, you will act as a technical advisor to help consultants successfully clear client project interviews and serve as the dedicated Tier-3 support lifeline when deployed consultants encounter complex technical roadblocks on-site. Your ultimate goal is to bridge the skills gap and eliminate project failures across our client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Design & Training Delivery: Build and deliver comprehensive, hands-on training programs covering modern enterprise security frameworks, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), SIEM tools, and vulnerability management.
  • Pre-Placement Support: Work closely with consultants preparing for client project interviews, conducting technical mock interviews, and coaching them on project-specific architectures to ensure placement success.
  • On-Project Technical Support: Act as the dedicated internal escalation point for deployed consultants, rapidly diagnosing and resolving high-stakes security blockers, incident anomalies, or deployment issues.
  • Skill Assessments: Establish objective technical benchmarks and evaluation matrices to assess consultant readiness before they are approved for client deployment.
  • Content Modernization: Monitor shifts in the global cyber threat landscape and industry regulations to continuously update training environments and toolsets.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Cyber Security (e.g., Security Architecture, SOC Engineering, Penetration Testing, or Incident Response).
  • Certifications: Must hold advanced, industry-recognized cyber security credentials, specifically a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). Additional certifications such as CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ / CASP+, or cloud-specific security credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer) are highly preferred.
  • Instructional Capabilities: Proven track record of training, mentoring, or upskilling technical personnel (e.g., as a team lead, technical instructor, or engineering mentor).
  • Deep Technical Stack Expertise: Mastery of firewalls, network topology, IAM, encryption standards, and enterprise security operations tools (e.g., Splunk, Wireshark, CrowdStrike, Nessus).
  • Cloud Security Proficiency: Strong technical knowledge of securing public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Problem-Solving under Pressure: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to step into unfamiliar client infrastructures remotely and unblock a consultant efficiently.
  • Communication: Ability to break down complex architectural vulnerabilities into digestible, teachable concepts for junior-to-mid level consultants.
