AI Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Define, develop, document, and own scalable solution blueprints and delivery playbooks for GenAI/Hybrid-AI deployments on dedicated on-premises hardware.
• Collaborate closely with customers, partners, product management, and engineering teams to tailor solutions to specific vertical requirements and constraints.
• Design and develop reference architectures and proofs-of-concept, optimizing models and pipelines for performance, latency, accuracy, and cost.
• Integrate and apply advanced AI models including LLMs, VLMs, VLAs, and computer vision stacks.
• Architect and implement production-grade patterns for video analytics, enterprise GenAI (e.g., RAG, copilots), and multimodal agents interacting with enterprise systems.
• Design hybrid AI architectures, partitioning workloads across edge devices, on-premises appliances, and cloud environments.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with significant years of experience in Systems Engineering or AI/ML.
• Proven track record architecting and shipping complex, systems-level AI solutions that consider application, runtime, and platform factors.
• Deep hands-on proficiency with AI model lifecycles, including selection, fine-tuning, compression, quantization, and hardware-aware optimization.
• Expertise in designing hybrid AI strategies and strong software engineering foundations (Python/C++), containerization, and inference/runtime stacks.
• Customer-facing experience launching new AI products and driving POCs to production with clear KPIs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence across teams and engage with customers and executives.
