Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Invent, design, and develop highly available and scalable distributed systems and database technologies.
• Own the delivery of software development projects end-to-end, from requirements to deployment and support.
• Build and own highly available, low-latency systems that scale to serve over 100 million operations per second.
• Collaborate with a team of senior and principal engineers on designs, code reviews, and implementation.
• Establish and promote best practices in software development and operational processes.
• Mentor other engineers and stay current with relevant technologies.
  
  

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems (including design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• Experience throughout the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and database technologies is a plus.
