Network Engineer - Entry Level

Location: Baytown - 100% Onsite

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 12 Months

Rate: $35 - $40/hr. on W2

We are seeking a Network Connectivity Engineer to support enterprise network operations, administration, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and network connectivity.
• Manage incidents, changes, upgrades, and infrastructure outages.
• Troubleshoot ACLs, firewall rules, and network performance issues.
• Support Active Directory administration, account management, software installations, and documentation.
• Automate and improve operational processes using PowerShell and related tools.
  
  
  

Required Skills

• Experience upgrading and supporting Cisco Catalyst 9300+ switches.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and AlgoSec (Firewall Analyzer & FireFlow).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with change management and network administration.
  
  
  

Preferred Technologies

Cisco 9300+, Fortinet, AlgoSec, Splunk, PowerShell, SQL, WinSCP, MoveIT, SentinelOne, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.

Top 3 Requirements

• Cisco switch upgrade experience.
• Fortinet and AlgoSec expertise.
