Network Administrator
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Administrator with a focus on Cisco Networks to join our team in Laurel, MD.
You will be part of a mission-driven team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities to support a global workforce engaged in national defense operations. This position is part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization—responsible for MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the backbone platform supporting all enterprise users. You will work with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to deliver secure and reliable network services across Data Center & Compute environments.

The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise and proven experience with Cisco network environments:

You will work with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to deliver secure and reliable network services across Data Center & Compute environments.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Maintain and upgrade network infrastructure, including routers and switches
- Update and configure antivirus software and other tools to secure the network
- Apply Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) updates to switches and follow Software Test and Evaluation (STE) policies
- Design and plan Cisco NEXUS network infrastructure, including setup and ongoing maintenance
- Configure Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) for switch administration
- Use network monitoring and management tools such as Solarwinds to oversee network performance
The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise and proven experience with Cisco network environments:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; an additional 5 years of Network Administration experience might be substituted for a degree
- 15+ years of experience as a Network Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Demonstrated experience downloading software and upgrading Cisco switches and firewalls
- Strong technical background in Cisco FirePower Firewalls
- Familiarity with Solarwinds
- Experience using LatteART and XACTA
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- The candidate must be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from the office to the customer’s desk
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
