Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Public Sector

Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
• Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery.
• Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in delivering solutions that meet public sector security and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, or Risk Management Framework.
• Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
• Experience with data center operations and infrastructure migration with VMware or similar systems.
• Experience in managing external partners/customers.
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide excellent technical guidance and best practices to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise on public cloud and enterprise technology.
• Work with customers to design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable mission objectives.
• Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for customers.
• Create and deliver best practices, recommendations, tutorials, blog articles and sample code.
• Manage stakeholders within customer environments to deliver consensus and lead positive customer outcomes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
