About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Risk Data team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and optimize large-scale data systems that power our global risk management functions — helping OKX make smarter, faster, and more secure business decisions.

The salary range for this position is $178,888- $268,333.
The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Risk Data team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and optimize large-scale data systems that power our global risk management functions — helping OKX make smarter, faster, and more secure business decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain the risk business domain data warehouse and develop theme index systems to support the data needs of the risk business.
- Design and implement the technical architecture for offline and real-time data applications.
- Optimize the performance and reliability of data pipelines to ensure efficiency at scale.
- Develop report data and interface data for the data mart to enable downstream analytics and insights.
- Collaborate closely with product, risk, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse modeling theory with hands-on experience in model design and implementation.
- Proven experience supporting real-world business scenarios through robust data warehouse systems.
- Familiarity with big data architectures and tools, particularly Alicloud DataWorks/MaxCompute, AWS Spark, and Databricks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Strong problem-solving and stress-resilience, with a proactive approach to understanding business context.
- Ability to integrate technical and business insights to drive impactful data solutions.
- Business proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with StarRocks or Doris for high-performance analytics.
- Hands-on experience in real-time big data systems or real-time data warehouse development.
- Background in building user portrait, feature, or metrics systems.
- Exposure to advanced data applications or solution design in large-scale environments.
