Job Descriptio

n:
This position requires a US Department of Defense or Intelligence TS/SCI clearan

ce.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevSecOps Engineer with extensive experience in Kubernetes, deployment automation (e.g., GitOps, Terraform, Helm, or similar tools), environment agnostic deployment, system integration, and US Federal Government Risk Management Frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying our product to government customer environments, managing integrations with third-party systems, and ensuring our security posture meets requirements while maintaining the high availability, performance, and security of our services. You will work closely with other Mission Engineering Team members and the Legion Intelligence Platform DevOps and Engineering teams to improve product deployment efficiency and configurabili

ty.
Responsibilit

  Deploy the Legion Intelligence product in US government compute environments using Flux, Terraform, Kubernetes/Docker, and related technolo
• gies.Develop automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, backing up, patching, and deploying the Legion product and underlying serv
• ices.Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities for deployed applicat
• ions.Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure optimal performance and up
• time.Integrate the Legion product with external authentication and authorization systems in government production environm
• ents.Integrate the Legion product with third-party mission data systems in production environments (MS SharePoint, Palantir Foundry,
• etc.)Collaborate with product DevOps Engineers to establish best practices and company-wide guidel
• ines.Work closely with product software engineering teams to integrate their project deliverables into customer production cloud and on-premises environm
• ents.Leverage system and application health monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Vector) to maintain application health, diagnose problems, and facilitate remedia
• tion.Troubleshoot complex system issues and work with customers, partners, and internal development teams to identify root causes and resolve
• them.Prepare packages required for Authorization to Operate (ATO), Certification to Field (CTF), and other security requirements presented by US Government Risk Management Frameworks (
• RMF).Enforce compliance with security best practices and poli
• cies.Stay current with new DevSecOps technologies and recommend innovative solutions that increase value and improve effici

• cation.4+ years of experience as a DevOps or DevSecOps Engineer, or equivalent software-engineerin
• g role.2+ years of experience deploying software and/or managing software deployments in US Government classified ne
• tworks.Extensive experience deploying and managing software in AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or Oracle Cloud environments, as well as on-premises data c
• enters.Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker, Kubernetes, an
• d Helm.Experience delivering software to multiple environments using GitOps or similar automation and configuration management techno
• logies.Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc, and a willingness to learn and adopt ne
• w ones.Experience deploying rapidly evolving software and maintaining a flexible deployment paradigm to enable rapid ite
• ration.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, partner vendors, end users, and cross-functional
• teams.Experience writing and leveraging infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or si
• milar).Working knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and related data stru
• ctures.Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python, TypeS
• cript).Working familiarity with system and application health monitoring tools, e.g., Grafana/Prometheus/OpenTelemetry/Vector or
