Metro Louisville Casual Recruiter Position
The Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana are seeking enthusiastic and mission-driven individuals to join our Membership Team on a casual, as-needed basis. Casual employees will support recruitment experiences, community engagement events, and membership growth initiatives to inspire girls and families to join the Girl Scout movement. This role is ideal for individuals who want short, flexible hours that they choose, enjoy working with youth, and have an engaging style of communication skills in community settings. Position requires you to reside in the metro Louisville area.

Support GSK recruitment efforts, such as but not limited to:
- "Girl Talks" – Held during the school day, typically between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM
- After-School Events – Staffing booths and information tables, after school hours and in the evenings.
- Special Events – typically held on Saturdays or Sundays
- Promotional Material Distribution – delivering flyers and materials to schools and community locations
- Other duties such as training, data entry, and event planning
- Open to other tasks outside of recruitment that also help support the mission
- Host/execute events and activities that introduce Girl Scouts to prospective members.
- Represent Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana at all types of events to engage with girls, families, and volunteers.
- Facilitate fun and interactive Girl Scout experiences that highlight the value of membership.
- Provide information and resources to families interested in joining Girl Scouts, answering questions and guiding them through the registration process.
- Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and event participation.
- Ensure all activities align with Girl Scout values and safety guidelines.

Qualifications
- Passion for the mission and values of Girl Scouts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with youth, event planning, or customer service is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Proficient using email, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and learning new applications, platforms, etc.
- Able to understand, retain and follow processes
- Reliable transportation, a valid drivers license and car insurance
- Ability to lift and transport event materials (up to 25 lbs.).
- Background check required.
