Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a company focused on security systems within the DoD. This position is on-site in McLean, VA. The Network Engineer will lead a team managing enterprise IT systems and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:

• Lead engineering and installation for LAN wiring and fiber optic terminations.
• Install, monitor, and manage switches, routers, and data circuits for voice, data, and video systems.
• Ensure secure configuration of network infrastructure per DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Configure and manage network encryption devices and IP address allocations.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and advise leadership on enhancement.
  
  

Required Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and DoD network infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Cisco network devices, encryption technologies, and IP management.
• Strong understanding of LAN/fiber cabling standards and DoD security protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (preferred).
• Certifications: CCNP Enterprise and DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II.
• Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  
  

Compensation for the Network Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $110,000–$130,000 depending on experience.
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as required by law.
