Senior Manager of Recruitment

The Senior Manager of Recruitment provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of Uplift’s Instructional full-cycle recruitment efforts. The Senior Manager ensures the Instructional recruitment function is efficient, data-driven, and aligned to Uplift’s workforce priorities and organizational goals. This is a working manager role, meaning the Senior Manager will lead the recruitment team while also managing a portfolio of requisitions.

Starting Salary: $75,000

Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Instructional recruitment strategy aligned to network hiring priorities across all roles.
- Analyze hiring trends, market data, and internal capacity to anticipate needs and adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition to set annual targets, build dashboards, and monitor progress toward key hiring metrics.
- Lead, coach, and develop Recruiters to ensure high-quality candidate assessment, hiring manager partnership, and consistent execution of recruitment standards, while owning their own slate of requisitions to meet hiring targets.
- Support professional growth through ongoing training, shadowing, and development plans.
- Oversee full lifecycle recruitment operations to ensure high-quality candidate experiences and an efficient hiring process.
- Evaluate and refine workflows within the applicant tracking system (ATS) to improve accuracy, compliance, and speed.
- Serve as a strategic talent partner to School Principals across the network.
- Deliver regular updates on hiring progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor KPIs including time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance rates, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Lead data reviews with recruiters to assess trends and identify bottlenecks.
- Partner with the Director of Talent Sourcing & Partnerships and the Talent Sourcing Manager to align targeted sourcing strategies with high-priority vacancies.
- Support recruitment events, job fairs, and community-based hiring initiatives.
- Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for degree preference.
- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of Talent Acquisition experience, including full lifecycle recruiting for diverse role types.
- At least 2 – 3 years of leadership or team supervisory experience.
- Experience managing complex hiring portfolios and improving recruitment operations.
- Special Skills/Certifications:
- AIRS recruiting certification, Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and over email with staff, candidates, teachers, and network leaders.
- Bilingual Skills: Spanish preferred
- Technology: Proficiency with ATS systems (Workday preferred), sourcing tools, and recruitment analytics.
