Sensata Technologies is looking for a Key Account Manager in the Dallas-Fort Worth or Houston metro areas to lead growth with a select group of strategic HVAC OEM customers in one of our strongest business units in the company - the Industrial Solutions business. The primary responsibility is to develop and win new business opportunities for mission-critical, sensor-rich solutions that help our customers safely deliver a cleaner, more efficient, electrified and connected world. Our customers include the market leading OEMs and world’s most recognizable brands in the HVAC markets. The Key Account Manager will partner with a strong team within the business to develop new business and provide exceptional support for these strategic customers to achieve strong, long-term revenues.

General Responsibilities
$97,100.00 - $133,430.00

Sensata considers several factors when extending an offer, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. General Responsibilities
- Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.
- Pursue sales leads
- Lead in visits to existing and new customers
- Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets
- Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
- Perform supplier audits on site at distributor warehouse locations
- Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.
- Initiate regular communication with distributors to mitigate shipment errors and discrepancies
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Key participant in new account development and/or expanding existing key accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.
- Builds relationships at various levels in customers organization
