Mechanical Engineer Internship
p>u>b>Los Angeles, CA Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering Internship Program/b>/u>/p>p>/p>p>Huntsman is hiring for our 2026 Summer span>Engineering Intern/span>ship Program in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering./p>p>/p>p>Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. The internship runs from May to August - dependent on the school calendar. The goal of the Huntsman Intern Program is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career. The internship program will allow interns to apply knowledge learned in school to a real-world manufacturing or Ramp;D setting, and gain insight into the operation of a multinational chemical company/p>p>/p>p>b>As an Engineering Intern you will:/b>/p>ul>li>Assist in the development of Asset Life Plans, troubleshoot equipment failures, and identify corrective actions./li>li>Identify process improvement opportunities related to these troubleshooting efforts./li>li>Participate in the project scope and cost estimate development for projects assigned./li>li>Work with engineers and construction coordinators on installation, testing, and commissioning of newly installed devices./li>li>Assist with the troubleshooting of equipment in the field and provide technical support as needed./li>li>Participate in both onsite and offsite technical training opportunities./li>li>Be assigned small projects to lead from conception through completion./li>li>Attend project team meetings and report project status updates./li>li>Ensure compliance with all corporate procedures and guidelines. Ensure that annual required training is completed on-time./li>li>Full time presence in the workplace is required. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives./li>li>Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives at all levels of the organization./li>li>Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals. Follow instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor./li>/ul>p>/p>p>b>span>Qualifications: /span>/b>/p>ul>li>Full time college student at the Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level by the end of Spring 2026./li>li>Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent program./li>li>Must have 3.0 or higher GPA./li>li>Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analyses./li>li>Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills./li>li>Strong planning and organizational skills./li>li>Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions./li>li>Able to build relationships across all organizational lines./li>li>Excellent computer skills; especially proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word/li>/ul>p>/p>
