SALARY RANGE: $105,000 - 120,000

JOB STATUS: Full-Time; Salaried

TRAVEL: Rarely

SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active Secret security clearance

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Network Services Engineer to directly support the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) program, which is within the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and at least 3years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD
• OR 7 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, of which 5 years must be in the DoD
• MUST have an active US Security Clearance
  
  

Responsbilities

The individual shall advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

• Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
• Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
• Analyzing network workload.
• Monitoring network capacity and performance.
• Diagnosing and resolving network problems.
• Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.
• Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
