Role Overview

Looking to get real world work experience at a great Austin company with a startup's DNA? More importantly, do you have what it takes? The marketing intern will join the Kasasa B2C Marketing & Retail team to support and/or lead team projects including but not limited to refining marketing processes, industry and market research, developing client-facing and consumer content. You will be instrumental in helping the B2C Marketing and Retail Strategy teams wrap up a successful year and organize the development and rollout of 2026 projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Responsibilities)

  • Market, audience, and competitor assessments to develop client marketing strategies
  • Work with VP of Consumer Marketing on team initiatives and department roadmaps
  • Research industry trends and topics and present marketing program suggestions
  • Work with Marketing Managers and Retail Strategists to develop communications, webinars, decks, and other materials
  • Salesforce data input and reporting
  • Creative briefs and project plans
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications)

  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, including continuing education of new marketing tactics and tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex research into common language
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Aptitude with various CRM and social media platforms as well as the data tracking tools associated with them
  • Familiarity with consumer psychology and buying habits
  • Ability to quickly learn and process information
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Personal qualities of passion and reason, a willingness to be hands-on and the ability to work independently, strong personal initiative, persistence, and intellectual and interpersonal flexibility.
  • Resourceful, innovative, forward thinking, and committed to getting results.
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
  • Kasasa values the importance of flexibility and collaboration. We offer a hybrid work model where you'll join us in the office for at least three full workdays each week, allowing for meaningful in-person connections and teamwork. The remaining two days offer the option to work remotely, providing you with the balance and autonomy to excel in your role.
  • You will be asked to participate in culture related meetings, activities, and events. We firmly believe that building culture and teamwork in a remote company requires extra intentionality, and thus your participation and engagement isn't just encouraged - it is required and part of your role responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods of time; approximately 5-6 hours per day
  • Simultaneous use of hand, wrist and fingers
  • Daily operation of standard office equipment
  • Frequent use of oral communication to perform work
  • Lifts and moves 7-10 pounds occasionally
