AI Solutions Internship

This is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (running May-August). The role is based at our Louisville Office.

As part of the Heaven Hill Summer Internship Program, you will support organizational strategic goals through hands-on project work and high-impact assignments. Our program is designed to provide meaningful experience, professional development, cross-functional exposure, networking opportunities, facility tours, and intern engagement events throughout the summer.    

What The Role Is

The AI Solutions Internship provides hands-on experience applying artificial intelligence and automation tools to real business challenges. Working within the AI Center of Excellence and collaborating across multiple departments, you will help expand the use of AI throughout the enterprise by supporting ongoing projects and embedding AI into core work processes.

This internship offers exposure to data analysis, predictive modeling, workflow automation, and emerging AI technologies while contributing to Heaven Hill’s digital transformation and long-term innovation initiatives.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

AI Integration & Workflow Support

• Support the continued embedding of AI tools into business processes across functions such as Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Corporate Strategy.
• Identify opportunities to automate reports, streamline tasks, and improve decision-making using AI and machine learning tools.
• Assist in developing guidelines, templates, or SOPs for AI-enabled workflows.
  
  

Cross-Functional AI Project Support

• Collaborate with internal teams to assess needs, gather data, and define use cases where AI can improve efficiency or accuracy.
• Contribute to ongoing AI projects that support multiple departments and business units.
• Help evaluate and prioritize AI initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with strategic goals.
  
  

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Analyze datasets related to operations, sales performance, consumer behavior, supply chain, or workforce trends to generate insights.
• Build dashboards or visualizations that translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  
  

Solution Development & Research

• Assistin developing AI-powered prototypes, automation scripts, or predictive models using tools such as Python, SQL, or AI platforms.
• Research emerging AI capabilities, industry best practices, andnew technologiesrelevant to the spirits industry.
• Support the integration of AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
  
  

Professional Development

• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to internal teams throughout the internship.
• Deliver a final presentation to the Executive Leadership Team summarizing your project work and key learnings.
• Participate in developmental workshops, networking opportunities, and cross-functional exposure events.
  
  

Who You Are…

Required Skills and Experience:

• Currentlya junior or senior pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and visualization.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and automation tools such as Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or AI-based platforms (e.g., ChatGPT).
• Strong communicationskills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Curious, collaborative, and passionate about innovation and emerging technologies.

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to:

• stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms.
