Batavia Public Schools is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead districtwide Facilities, Maintenance, Custodial Services, and Transportation. This role ensures safe, clean, efficient, and well-managed learning environments across all schools. The Director reports to the Deputy Superintendent of Operations and Finance.


Key Work


  • Direct facilities planning, capital projects, repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Oversee custodial operations and sustainability initiatives
  • Manage student transportation, routing, compliance, and safety
  • Ensure building safety, regulatory compliance, and system reliability
  • Lead operational budgeting, contracts, and vendor partnerships
  • Supervise staff and collaborate with school and municipal leaders


What You Bring


  • Degree in business, facilities management, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in facilities, operations, or transportation leadership
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and safety regulations
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and solve problems


This is a full-time, 260-day, exempt position with districtwide operational impact.
