The Role
We are seeking a software engineer to contribute to the design, implementation, and optimisation of infrastructure supporting system verification and product validation for our embedded and robotic AI software. The focus of this role is on automated test infrastructure that enables reliable, scalable, and efficient execution of system-level and integration tests.
You will work closely with onboard software, DevOps, testing, and infrastructure teams to deliver a fully automated, data-rich test pipeline with comprehensive reporting, coverage tracking, and traceability. This is a hands-on position emphasizing technical leadership, infrastructure depth, and scalable system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure for automated system and integration testing.
- Implement scalable test execution workflows integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate third-party verification and quality tools, including JAMA, coverage tools (MC/DC), style compliance checkers, and artifact management platforms like Artifactory and AWS.
- Develop reporting, dashboards, traceability matrices, and system metrics.
- Support validation teams in defining KPIs and developing methods to capture, manage, and visualise verification data.
- Collaborate with DevOps and CI/CD teams to enhance test reliability, maintainability, and turnaround times.
- Drive infrastructure improvements to boost verification coverage, debugging support, and compliance visibility across products.
About You
You are a skilled software engineer passionate about building infrastructure at scale. You have experience working across teams on system validation problems and enjoy designing automated systems that serve dynamic software organisations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in software verification infrastructure, CI/CD integration, or product test automation.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD practices and system test architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Bazel build systems.
- Hands-on experience creating test frameworks and integration tools (e.g., PyTest or custom libraries).
- Experience integrating verification and quality tools (e.g., JAMA, MC/DC, MISRA).
- Skilled in test dashboards, metrics, and reporting infrastructure.
- Strong collaborator with experience working with DevOps, software engineers, and test teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
