We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide exceptional end-user and systems support across all locations. Salary Range: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE


A Day in the Life

The Desktop Support Technician plays a key role in maintaining Clover’s technology infrastructure across its multi-site operation. This position provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for all end users, covering desktop systems, printers, copiers, mobile devices, and critical production systems, including Route Accounting, and Warehouse Mobility technologies.

This role demands excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, with a proactive approach to maintaining uptime in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Early morning and occasional weekend/on-call availability are required to support 24/7 plant operations.


Key Responsibilities

End-User Support & Help Desk

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
  • Complete and update help desk tickets with detailed resolution notes and supporting documentation.
  • Follow up with users to ensure root-cause resolution and long-term issue prevention.
  • Provide backup support for servers, applications, and network-related issues as needed.
  • Deliver responsive, customer-focused IT support with professionalism and empathy.
  • Support remote employees and distributors using VPN, RDP, and other secure remote tools.

Systems & Application Support

  • Support and maintain Google Workspace accounts.
  • Support and troubleshoot Route Accounting handheld devices and Warehouse Mobility systems
  • Monitor, maintain, and schedule preventive maintenance for mission-critical IT equipment.
  • Ensure all IT maintenance contracts, warranties, and service agreements are current and updated in the help desk.


Hardware, Software, and Network Operations

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11, macOS, and Office 365 environments.
  • Support and manage VoIP phone systems, printers, scanners, and A/V setups for conference rooms.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets, hardware, and peripherals; track software licenses and renewals through the help desk system.
  • Set up and manage cellular devices for employees; review usage reports and identify cost-saving or technology upgrade opportunities.
  • Assist in network and server administration, including Active Directory management, user provisioning, and file share permissions.
  • Coordinate with the infrastructure team on network connectivity, Wi-Fi performance, and hardware replacement cycles.


Documentation & Compliance

  • Create and maintain up-to-date IT documentation, including configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, FDA/GMP, SQF, and data protection standards.
  • Document all processes related to job duties within the IT Documentation Directory.
  • Participate in audits and ensure adherence to cybersecurity and compliance protocols.


Operational & Vendor Support

  • Provide early shift coverage to align with production start times and operational needs.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for critical system support.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware, software, and system maintenance or upgrades.
  • Travel as needed between Petaluma sites and remote distributor locations within Northern California.


What You Bring to the Team

  • 5–8 years of IT desktop or technical support experience, ideally in a food or beverage manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, Google Workspace, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Route Accounting, Warehouse Mobility, and handheld scanner technologies.
  • Experience managing hardware inventory, software licensing, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with ability to support users at all levels.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel locally.


Preferred :

  • Bilingual English/Spanish for effective communication with operations teams.
  • Experience in a regulated, unionized, or 24/7 production environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, or SQF compliance standards.
  • Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, or Apple ACSP).


Work Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site across three Petaluma-area facilities.
  • Early morning availability required to support plant operations.
  • Rotating on-call duty, including nights and weekends, as needed.
