Information Security Engineer
Job Description
Northwest Partners is looking for an InfoSec Lead who’s passionate about building and maturing information security capabilities in complex enterprise environments. This role will help drive a newly formed cybersecurity function, ensuring alignment with evolving digital platforms, data systems, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
What YOU will do
• establish and lead the foundational security framework for a new cybersecurity function
• develop a security roadmap aligned to strategic initiatives across data, applications, and infrastructure
• advise leadership on risk, compliance, and vulnerabilities across enterprise technology systems
• build and mature policies, standards, and security controls across the organization
• oversee risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance readiness
• lead threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management processes
• implement monitoring tools, dashboards, and escalation protocols
• define secure architecture standards across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid systems
• collaborate with data and application teams on secure integrations and data movement
• support security requirements for new enterprise platforms
• own identity and access management standards and privileged access controls
• partner with development teams to ensure secure SDLC and automation practices
• provide oversight for corporate applications security
• contribute to cross-functional roadmaps and collaborate with infrastructure, data, application, and business development teams
What YOU will bring us
• 7–10+ years of experience in information security in enterprise, industrial, or engineering environments
• demonstrated experience building or maturing an information security program
• expertise in cloud security, identity and access management, incident response, and risk management
• experience implementing security policies, frameworks, and best practices (NIST, ISO, CIS Controls)
• ability to collaborate with architects, developers, and infrastructure leaders
• understanding of modern data platforms and pipelines
• strong communication skills and ability to influence leadership
• preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP or similar
• experience supporting enterprise data initiatives or technology modernization programs
