Dedicated Engineer for Network Operations

Piper Companies is seeking a Dedicated Engineer for Network Operations to join a team in supporting federal customers in Norfolk, VA. This role focuses on telephony, VOIP/SIP systems, and SBC exposure. The candidate will sit onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities for the Dedicated Engineer:

• Configure and integrate telephony and VOIP systems, including SIP-based solutions.
• Conduct lab evaluations of new software and hardware for performance and reliability.
• Provide critical project assistance and technical leadership on deployments.
• Perform fault isolation, triage, replication, and resolution of complex issues.
• Support SIP layer troubleshooting and PBX feature provisioning.
  
  

Qualifications for the Dedicated Engineer:

• Active Secret Clearance required
• DoD 8570/8140 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of telephony, VOIP, SIP protocols, and SBC exposure.
• Experience with CUCM provisioning and SIP troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PBX environments and feature configuration.
• Hands-on experience with application server products preferred.
  
  

Compensation

• $100,000-$118,000 annual
