Health Care Assistant - Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Unit: CSEA Number of Vacancies: 6 (4 to 6 hour positions available) Classification Hours/Months: 4 to 6.5 hours /10 Months (180 days/Student Attendance Days) CSEA Salary Range 127 - Step A $28.11 (Min.) to Step F $36.11 (Max.) Promotional/Open * The promotional group as well as the general public may apply. The promotional side of the eligibility list shall take precedence when certifying eligibles. ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS UNTIL FILLED REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSES: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent, supplemented by college-level course work in nursing or related field and two years related health care experience. Possession of a valid California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN), valid California driver’s license, and a valid First Aid/CPR certification.
EXAMINATION: The selection process will consist of a competitive application, supplemental and resume screening, and scoring (pass/fail). If your application is accepted to move forward to the oral panel examination (weighted 100%). A passing score must be achieved on the application as well as the oral panel exam. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores on the eligibility list.
