The Director of Community Development oversees planning, permitting, housing programs, community wellbeing initiatives, and code enforcement, ensuring each area aligns with the City's vision and long-term goals. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in municipal planning, community development, permitting, housing programs, and code enforcement, paired with a history of success in senior leadership. AICP certification is highly valued and reflects the expertise, ethical standards, and strategic insight needed to navigate complex planning and development challenges.

Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.

Hiring Range is $170,000.00 - $189,000.00 Annually

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, community development or related field with ten years of experience in municipal city planning, community development, building permitting and inspection, housing programs, and code enforcement. Seven years in management capacity, overseeing the areas noted above. Must possess a valid driver's license.
