Summary

Own the master production plan for a multi-product, multi-site operation. Convert demand into an executable supply plan, level capacity, and drive schedule adherence while balancing service, cost, and inventory.

Job Duties

  • Build, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS); translate demand to shop-floor work plans.
  • Run MRP/ATP, review exceptions, and release/sequence work orders; manage constraints and expedite priorities.
  • Level finite capacity across lines/vendors; model scenarios and recovery plans for past-due/backlog risks.
  • Maintain planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, routings) and partner on BOM accuracy and change control.
  • Lead daily/weekly production control meetings; align with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Sales.
  • Track KPIs: OTIF, schedule adherence, plan accuracy, inventory turns, aging WIP/backlog; drive corrective actions.
  • Standardize processes/SOPs and champion CI initiatives (waste reduction, cycle-time, and throughput gains).

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 years progressive experience in manufacturing production planning/scheduling.
  • Strong ERP proficiency operating MRP/MPS/WIP modules (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or equivalent).
  • Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, nested logic); solid data storytelling and decision support.
  • Proven capacity planning, constraint management, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Clear, concise communicator; comfortable with exec updates and shop-floor huddles.

Preferred / Nice To Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Working understanding of Oracle Manufacturing (EBS/Cloud) applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of BOM and WIP processes and engineering change control.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM/CSCP; Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+) and SOP/S&OP facilitation.
  • SQL/Power BI/Tableau for deeper analytics.
