This role blends warm, friendly service with hands-on café operations: accurate POS transactions, thoughtful product education, clean and inviting spaces and a knack for upselling - all in a fast-paced, team-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage guests; answer questions and guide them through our menu to choose orders they’ll love.
- Prepare and present gourmet toasts, bowls, smoothies, cold-pressed juices and cooffe with care and consistency.
- Operate the POS quickly and accurately; handle cash/card transactions with solid retail math.
- Keep the café spotless and organized, upholding strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Stock shelves, rotate product, and refresh displays to maintain availability and visual appeal.
- Host light in-store menu sampling and share promos of new items to enhance the guest experience.
- Upsell and cross-sell thoughtfully to contribute to store performance.
- Collaborate during rushes to keep service smooth; communicate clearly with the team.
- Handle phone inquiries with friendly, professional etiquette.
- Provide guidance to junior teammates as needed; model great service and sales techniques.
- Stay current on product knowledge and menu updates; participate in ongoing training.
- Prior retail, café, or customer-service experience preferred (quick-serve a plus).
- Proficiency with POS systems and comfort with basic cash-handling math.
- Clear, upbeat communicator who enjoys engaging with guests and teammates.
- Experience supervising or mentoring others is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged - great for serving our diverse tourist community.
- Familiarity with merchandising/stocking is helpful.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are essential.
