Mechanical Engineering Intern - 503

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in our Broomfield, CO location.

All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply mechanical design tools, such as Onshape, SolidWorks, and Ansys, to support development tasks
• You will be integral in the design, analysis, & validation of current gen & next gen components, sub-systems, & systems in electrical, optical, & environmental products for our commercial quantum computers
• You will collaborate with the Quantinuum engineering team to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers
• You will participate in numerous phases of product development and will be part of a group of hardworking scientists & engineers whose expertise ensures the success of Quantinuum’s world class quantum computers
  
  

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• Graduating on or after 2026
• Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
• Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
  
  

WE VALUE:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
• Continuing enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
• Ability to develop solid models & drawing packages utilizing programs such as Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar
• Ability to employ analysis tools such as Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar
• Experience with the design & realization of electronics packaging, precision mechanisms, optical and cryogenic systems
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Individuals who are results-oriented and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done despite competing priorities
• Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written
• Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
