BASIC PURPOSE: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Assistant provides support to the CFO and accountant in the daily accounting/finance functions of the Agency.
This position typically starts at the mid wage range which can vary based on education and experience.
All duties at FCC are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the agency’s Mission, Vision and Values. All staff are expected to act as representatives of FCC and promote and maintain a positive image. All staff are expected to adhere to all laws of client rights, confidentiality, and privacy as governed by HIPAA, licensing and accreditation standards and FCC policies. All staff must maintain sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. All staff must maintain regular communication with their supervisor and ensure s/he is properly informed. The statements below describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ENVIRONMENT:
Education, Training & Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, Associates Degree in bookkeeping/accounting, and one years’ experience in an accounting related position.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Experience in accounting.
Equipment & Applications: General office equipment such as computer and desktop applications; printers/scanners/fax machines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands: General office environment with minimal lifting and travel.

- Assist in monitoring grant budgets.
- Support preparation of annual budget
- Support the accountant and CFO with daily accounting and reconciliations.
- Other projects as they develop.
